Camping Trip

We spent a wonderful weekend camping at one of our favorite places in the mountains - Hume Lake.  We enjoyed the company of Kevin & Sharon and the girls as well as Jason & Ashley and their nephews & niece.  It was so good to be able to go camping again after not being able to do much of anything active last summer.  Noah loved every minute of the trip and keeps asking when we can go camping and fishing again.  We bought Noah a fishing pole right before the trip and he caught his first fish with it while we were there.  Silas was a little scared of sleeping in the tent at first and didn't sleep the greatest the first night (it was quite cold), but he did much better the second night.  It was really nice that he wasn't crawling yet, he just hung out on a tarp I laid out and played with his toys & observed what was going on around him.  He was so easy to have along!  Matt caught a few fish as well & let the biggest fish he snagged in his life get away.  It was really nice to just get away, enjoy the beauty of God's creation & even relax a little bit!

Hanging out by the campfire

Having fun in the tent

Silas - happy as usual

Silas spent a lot of time on this tarp.  He entertains himself so well.  It was so nice for camping purposes that he wasn't crawling yet.

So cute to see the kids go exploring

Having a good time at the lake

What a beautiful place to fish

Noah was pretty proud of his new pole

Noah's 1st fish - he caught it pretty much all by himself.

He wasn't quite up for holding it though

The kids had so much fun playing at the beach

Silas spent a lot of time in this chair while we were at the beach so he wouldn't eat the sand.  Good thing he is easily amused.  Here he is playing "peek-a-boo" with himself.
