Grandpa & Grandma and the Coast

We had a wonderful time while Matt's parents were visiting us.  The boys got lots of attention and even some early birthday presents from them.  I especially enjoyed making meals & cleaning up without having to constantly tend to the boys.  Matt & his dad worked hard a couple of days and finished the grouting between our flagstones so our backyard is almost finished now.  We enjoyed some really nice times with Uncle Jim and Aunt Starlyn and Kevin and Sharon & fam.  We were also able to escape to the coast for a couple of days and we had a great time there as well.  Kevin & Sharon were so nice to let us use their van so that we could all ride together.  We made the usual stop at Tobin and James on the way to get in a little wine tasting.  At the coast we enjoyed lots of time in the swimming pool and hot tub as well as hanging out at the beach.  On the way home we drove along the coast up to Cambria and enjoyed a nice lunch in a neat park we found.   The boys did great on the trip and we all had a really good time.

A beautiful day at Avila Beach

There is a lot of work to be done here.....

Now this is the life....

Sand is so much fun (and evidently quite tasty too!)

Noah made big strides in overcoming his fear of the ocean.

 Giddy up!

Noah and Silas had fun going down this slide together

Off to the pool - Noah thought he was big stuff
pushing all the correct elevator buttons

 Silas's first pool experience -
he has yet to form an opinion on the activity

Noah loved going to the pool -
he is excited to start swimming lessons in a few weeks.

We took a nice walk along the bluffs
of Shell Beach one evening

Silas and Grandma have become good buddies

Can't believe Noah actually got this close to the sheep.
He was quite frightened of their loud "Baas"
A nice picnic at a great park we found in Cambria on the way home.
