4th of July!

We enjoyed a fun 4th of July in the Visalia area this year. We joined the "Westra clan" for pizza and fireworks in Tulare on the 3rd. We sat about as close as you can get to the fireworks and needless to say Noah was a little bit scared. He started crying & wimpering "Bye-bye" when the first ones went off, so Matt took him to the car to get his blanket & they watch a few from there. After a few shaky "wows" Noah was brave enough to head back to our front-row seats although he stayed snuggled close to Matt or I the whole time the fireworks were going off. Matt commented that was the longest and stillest Noah has ever sat by him. Although he was somewhat scared of them, he was still intrigued by them & couldn't resist looking at them. On Sunday we heard alot of "fire-wur" uttered from his mouth & he cried before his nap & before night church because he wanted to see more. So, after church we drove to a park in Visalia that was not nearly so close to the launching point & watched some more fireworks. Noah liked them much better this time & we heard more enthusiatic "wows" and attempts at saying their colors. We spent the 5th by taking our 1st trip to the Hanford swap meet and I was able to find a really good deal on a tonka dump truck for Noah. In the afternoon Matt did some school work & I did some cleaning of baseboards & window seals. Maybe the "nesting" instinct in finally kicking in! We are down to a week and a half before baby #2 should be here. If only we could finalize our name choices.....
