We had an absolutely wonderful day at Avila Beach on Friday. Noah didn't have school that day and Matt only had parent teacher conferences until 9:30 in the morning, so we made a last minute decision to head to the coast for the day and I am so glad we did. The weather was just perfect - sunny, no wind, and neither hot or cold. We enjoyed playing football, frisbee, and soccer on the beach. Silas also had a thing for chasing the seagulls - especially after they stole his sandwich! After spending a few hours at the beach we got our bikes out and went for a couple mile bike ride on the bike trail. Silas did great going that distance and even made it up the hills (although he couldn't walk straight when he got off his bike at the top of the hill - I think his legs were pretty tired!). After our ride we headed back to the beach and enjoyed some delicious fish and chips. The day ended with another stroll on the beach and the pier as we watched the sun go down. All in all it was a very fun family day!
