Fall Routine

We have gotten into our fall routine here at the Fikkert household. I am back at work (20 hours a week), so the boys go to "Margies" place 2 days a week. She is so wonderful & Noah has enjoyed having new toys & playmates to play with again. I am enjoying being back at work for the most part. It gives me some nice variety in my weeks as well as some intellectual stimulation! :-) Matt is also back into his school routine. He doesn't have any new classes to teach or any new textbooks this year, so he doesn't have as much prep work to do, so that is nice for all of us. He is once again helping out with football and volleyball games and Noah likes to go along with him, which give me a nice break & some one on one time with Silas. Silas continues to be a pretty good baby. He sleeps well most of the time (except for last night he decided to get up twice - he must be going through a growth spurt b/c he was hungry!). He is a more content & smilely baby than Noah. I can actually put him on the floor or in his bouncy seat for more than 5 minutes when I want to get something done. Noah always needed a change of scenery & was harder to get to smile at this age. However, when Silas does decide to be mad or crabby he is definitely worse than Noah. He has a very loud cry & he is persistant in his crying when he wants to be. (Just ask the people at church or my co-workers since he has had a 45 minute crying fit at both church and a staff meeting - believe me - people could hear him!). Oh well, it doesn't bother me as much with baby #2, especially since he is generally very happy and easy. Noah continues to like him - hopefully they will be good playmates someday!
Noah loves to give Silas kisses
