We enjoyed a great visit from Grandpa and Grandpa Fikkert. They came over the Farm Show and President's Day so Matt had a couple of days off from school while there were here. The kids were very spoiled. Grandpa and Grandma do a great job of playing with them. Grandpa got pulled into a lot of soccer and baseball games, Grandma played a lot of "Go Fish" and fixed a lot of puzzles, and they both read a lot of books. Silas had never played "Go Fish" before and he thinks it is the best thing ever. However, now that they are gone he asks me about 20 times a day to play "Go Fish" with him. He is so cute when he plays that is it hard to resist. He also ends up playing with Noah quite a bit (but that usually ends up in cheating or fighting). We enjoyed a little trip to the foothills on Wednesday afternoon and did a nice little hike along the river and of course we couldn't go home without stopping for some of our favorite ice cream!
