We had a great time celebrating Silas's 2nd birthday. I can't believe he is 2 years old already. He is such a fun little guy and so full of personality. He is really starting to grow up. He will repeat almost anything you say (My favorite is when he says "awesome"!), and is starting to put a couple of words together. They usually say that kids are less demanding once they can talk, but with Silas it seems that once he knew he was being herd, he demanded more! He is also a very fearless little boy (except when around small dogs, then he is extremely fearful). He loves to climb and jump and kick and throw. One thing I especially get a kick out of is his need to yell (as loud as he can) "Bye-bye or "ni-night" as we leave his room after putting him to bed.
Since Silas loves balls, I made him an ice-cream football cake for his birthday. (Noah wants a basketball cake for his birthday, so he asked if basketball cakes could have ice cream in them too). Silas thought blowing out his candles was really fun, so after he blew them out the first time he said "again"! So, since it was his birthday, he ended up blowing out his candles about 5 times.
One of the many times the candles were blown out
Cousin Derek was nice enough to get each of
the boys a gift as well
Our little goof ball trying out his new trike
So exhausted and full after all that cake
Ooops! I have a puddle of ice cream on my shorts...
