A Quick Camping Trip

We enjoyed a quick camping trip with some friends up in the foothills of Sequioa National Park this weekend.  Matt had a short day on Friday, so we were able to leave around noon.  We got to see a bear crossing the road about a mile from the campground & there was a bear in our campground at night.  We had a nice time.  The boys enjoyed getting dirty and climbing rocks.  Silas, however, is still not a fan of sleeping in a tent.  Even though it was a lot of work for one night it was still fun to get away & do something different for a change.

A pic of the bear we saw

The rocks were great fun for the kids

Roasting some good old hotdogs

On Sat. morning we took a little family
hike along the river

We got to cross a really cool bridge
on our hike (it was actually quite high up)

Emily helping Silas fill his bottle with dirt
(which he later poured on his head)

I'm up to no good!

which is....playing with this box!

Much time was spent filling this dumptruck with dirt
(by hand).  We took home 2 very dirty little boys!

Always something funny going on with these 2!
